Alleghany Regional Hospital Names New Chief Executive Officer

September 3, 2008, Low Moor, VA – Greg T. Madsen has been named chief executive officer at Alleghany Regional Hospital.  He will assume his duties at ARH September 30.  “I am excited to join the team at Alleghany Regional Hospital as well as the Alleghany Highlands community,” says Madsen. Madsen will replace Tim Tobin, who left ARH to become chief executive officer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, an HCA facility being built in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  

Madsen has most recently served as the Administrator for Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas, an affiliate hospital of The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System (SCLHS), a national Catholic Hospital System headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. As an active member of the community, Madsen recently completed a term as President of the Board of Directors for the Leavenworth / Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce (i.e. 2007) and served as a board member and treasurer of the Leavenworth County Development Corporation.

Greg holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from San Diego State University.
